I have already posted this question on iRV2, PUX & GLPUC.  Just thought I would tap into some more sage PU advisors  gray matter[:D] Has anyone replaced their sink faucet in their PU/camper? I would love to replace ours with this Moen faucet:

 http://www.moen.com/Consumer/productcatalog/configurator.cfm?skurefno=85819

The height & pull-down/put sprayer would allow tall items such as pots, pitchers, etc. to be placed in the sink for easier washing & filling.  I also love the one lever operation!  However, I m not loving the price they are asking for it! Does anyone know where I might find a similar faucet for <$100, preferrably <$60?  Others have mentioned the height could be a problem with the sliding in of the bunk over the swing-down galley.  I m sure someone could come up with a solution for this hurdle....where there is a will, there is a way[;)]

 Peace be with you all.

DanusmomIf you click on " old forums"  in the menu on the upper right of the page and go to Mr. Fixit, you ll find several threads on faucet replacement.  If I remember correctly, some of these involved the height of the faucet.  Unless you can alter the way your galley swings down, you are probably limited by the clearance needed to slide the beds in.

DanusmomW are replacing our faucet this spring. We re getting a " bar sink"  faucet. The left knob will work with the 12v pump and the right knob will be for city water. The 2003 Colemans have this set up .

We ll have to work out something to cover the substantial hole that is in the countertop now for the old faucet. DH already has some ideas. The faucet will be coming from Lowes for about $50.

DanusmomThanks for the suggestions.  I had looked through the old forums  post before posting here.  The more research I do, seems to support the idea that the Moen won t work without major inivative reconstruction.  I may have to go with a single lever/handle bar faucet with shorter height & a sprayer hose off to the side.  The added bonus of this route is spending less money & time for installing.  Always a good thing[:D]

DanusmomWe replaced the sink faucet in our popup with a bar faucet from Lowes.  It was around $20-30.  Our galley was the flip over type.  The spigot(?) on the bar faucet was removable.  We just pulled it out before flipping our galley.  This was one of my favorite mods as it enabled me to fill pitchers and rinse dishes easier.

DanusmomI replaced ours with a laundry faucet from Home Depot.

The main problem I see with a sprayer is the water splashing everywhere. These sinks aren t that deep.

 DanusmomHi Danusmom,

We didn t replace the entire faucet, but did install one of those little doohickeys that when you pull down on it, it gives you a wide spray (kind of like a shower head) and then when you push it up, it gives you a compact stream.  We got it at CW, but you can probably get them at Wal-mart too.  They re only a couple of bucks.  Don t know if that helps you, but here s a link to what I m talking about anyway:  http://www.campingworld.com/browse/skus/index.cfm?skunum=15690

DanusmomThanks for the suggestion, griffsmom.  Yet, it is not just the spraying action I wanted.  With the sprayer on a flexible hose, I d have more latitude in cleaning the bigger cook-/dish-ware.  The taller faucet would also provide more clearance to allow bigger " -ware"  in the sink during dish washing.

In posting this same topic on other forums, " Bluesman"  came up with a Delta bar sink faucet that also has a sprayer hose on the side.  The hardware will fit the sink & the faucet height won t interfere with the sliding in of the bunk end.  So, I suppose I will have to settle for what works rather than what I want.[:@][&:]  At least this Delta faucet will better suit my needs in the galley than what is currently there.

 Peace be with you all.
