The Robinsons

Finally, we saw the sun today and it was quite comfortable outside, so DH and I popped up the camper in the driveway.  I found room for all the goodies I bought, and then read a few more posts on here and found out there s more " necessary"  goodies that I m not quite sure where they re going to go! [:o]  While DH went into the office for a couple of hours and get more " stuff" , the kids brought about half of their toys from the house into the camper (it seemed like half when it was time to bring them all back in!), as well as their sippy cups and a bag of Tostitos, and we had a picnic party in the driveway this afternoon.  If I knew more about my computer other than checking my email and getting online, I d be able to share some pictures.  The kids were having a blast and wanted to go somewhere right then!  Don t seem to quite understand yet what " Monday"  means to most people![: (]  I think we re fairly well-outfitted (for now), but I m lurking around this board every day looking for more ideas & tips.  Thank y all so much for the great ideas and advice so far.  Think we re going to Lake Texoma for our first " real"  outing - not sure if we re going to be able to do it March, though.[:(] Seems to be a lot going on this month....

The RobinsonsHey--congratulations on a successful FIRST OUTING.  The first one should always be CLOSE TO HOME just in case you forgot something critical.  You took that idea to new limits, but it was a Monday, so driveway camping is perfect.

Sounds like DW knows something more than just e-mail.  Perhaps she could get a picture or two posted.  A lot of people here use WebShots to post up stuff.

 Good luck and congratulations again.

The RobinsonsWith all of the other things you have bought this may seem unnecessary but last summer when  we took our four year old granddaughter with us we took a Rubbermaid box with some sand in for her to play in at the campsite.  It rested on a plastic shower curtain so we could pour back the sand every night that had spilled.  She spent hours playing in the sand as did her new " besty"  friends from other campsites who came over to play with her. The box has to be small enough so they can reach into it.  Then it takes less sand too.
