Does anyone use satellite with their hybrid?  We took ours in our popup and ran a cable from the dish up thru the bunkend to our tv.  Our new hybrid is supposed to be cable/satellite ready but we couldn t figure out if the connection on the outside works for both and we don t have the right cable or what.  There is the outlet on the outside and one by the tv on the inside.  Any suggestions?  Also, the dish " accidentally"  fell over and we aren t sure if it is even working now so that may have been the problem..The way the new camper is set up, we can t run a cable up thru the bunkend to where the tv sits.  I guess what I need to know is if the same connection works either cable or satellite and if you need a different type of coax cable for each one.

We use Satellite, cable, and the antenna.  The connection on the outside is for cable OR satellite.  On the back of the Winegard plate that is inside your trailer there are 2 cable hook-ups.  One is for the TV antenna, as it is connected through the booster, and the other is a cable hookup.  If you hook up cable (or satellite) to the outside connector, it will work as though you were hooked up directly to the cable or dish.  If you have an antenna, then you must make sure that the booster is turned off when using cable or satellite.

I hope that I haven t confused you, but you don t need any special cable to access CG cable, or your own dish.
