The new anode rod is installed, the interior cleaned out inspected and repacked, the water system checked for leaks, etc.  Just have to run her to the car wash, and finish adding clothes and perishables and the girl is ready for her first trip this year!

We ll be heading out to meet the gang this week, and having a great time with fishing and camping.

startxYou are ahead of me.  I had the trailer serviced and I have restocked some stuff, but it is still too cold to sanitize the water system.

SheBantam

startxGot mine to the shop Saturday, to be worked on today (bearings, Prodigy, vent covers).

You should have seen Raymond s face when he walked up and I was backing the truck...dead on to the hitch...he stood there with his mouth open motioning me back. He has hear me tell I could do it, but has never actually seen me on the first try, and no garbage can on top marking the center!![:D]

Hope to make an appointment for the Jayco, will pull the Bantam in to straighten, then back it up to clear the Jayco, un hook the truck, push the Jayco out, hook up the jayco, take it to the dealer. I will leave the Bantam in " wrong"  place until the Jayco is serviced, then I will have to back the Jayco in, un hook and push it back into place.  Hopefully I will have help, but if not I have done it before, but not with a sprained foot.

startxI actually touched the camper yesterday.[:)]  Other than clearing snow from the roof, I haven t been near it all winter.  There has been too much snow to get close to it.[:o]

She told me she was fine, but wasn t sure she would make it for a while there.  All that cold and snow.

I didn t have the heart to say that it was gonna be real cold again this week.[:(]

Camper Dan

 startxHi all[:D],

This past weekend we took the battery out of the laundry room, charged it and put it back...it s ready to go for the first trip after a brief maintenance charge to top  er off.  We ve gotten everything out of storage and back in the Kiwi.  Checked out the running lights and the tires...lights okay,...just need about 1 or 2 PSI more in the tires.  We have reservations at a local county park CG for 3 nights the first weekend in April.  We ll de-winterize the water lines then.  We reserved a " Full Service"  site with elect., water & sewer.[:D][;)]  Plenty of propane, too!

startxAre you rubbing it in????[:D] Well, I was ready, until I found out one tank was empty, and the rack I bought last Noverber was not complete to put on the trailer.
When I bought the rack, I ASS U ME it  was plete to install. Guess not, Coleman makes youbuy the rack cross members inorder to put the rack on. With the new 2003 Utah the support slides are already in place when you buy, so Colman makes the differance up by breaking up the additional parts you need to make more money. As you can tell I am venting today. What was to cost 119.00 is now around 250.00.[:(] So I am not ready with a 4 April camp date.

Yesterday I called the camp grounds to see how the ground was. Stll some snows in areas, muddy and some are OK. It looks like, by April they will be ready to go they said. IF IT DON" T SNOW AGAIN. Campground is in PA.

startxWhat part did you buy?  The load bars or the bike trays?  You do not have to buy the bike trays from Coleman.  I bought mine on Ebay and saved a bunch.  You can also check prices at local bike shops.  The load bars are made by Yakima and any bike tray that will fit the Yakima system will work with your Coleman roof rack.

I don t think Coleman breaks the system up so you have to spend more.  I think you buy the components separately so that you can put what you want on the roof.  I already had several bike trays that I used on the roof of my van, so I didn t need to buy them.  If you have some of the items you wouldn t want to buy the whole system.  Some people want canoe or kayak racks, others may want a basket to carry extra equipment and many people want bike racks.  It is too bad your dealer didn t explain the roof rack system.
