[font=" Bookman Old Style" ]Well, the race is on.  Birol has left the cold bitter North and begun the trip to Sunny and warm (73 degrees) SouthEastern Virginia.
 
 I don t know who is traveling with him but I assume his DW and DD since the DS is visiting Williamsburg.  However, He is to make an appearance here Tuesday morning between 9:30 and 10:00 A.M.  " GoneCamping"  (Cliff) will also be coming around this same time with his gifts.
 
 I sent maps and my cell phone number so that he can call if he has any problems or gets lost.  I don t think that it will be that much of a problem.  Anywho,  I ve moved " MYCAVE"  out of the den (storage shed) in case we have rain.  He can still open the tent and practice setting it up at least once before heading back to the frozen North.  I have already sent him pictures and will make a manual of instruction for his later use.
 
 For the benefit of the club, I will be taking pictures here on digital so that everyone can see the presents and other" STUFF"  that I (and Cliff) will be passing along.   Since the possibility of additional contribution may be forthcoming,  the club will then be able to see any additional needs which someone else may consider adding to the bounty.
 
 To those of you who have been following our exchange, thanks for your support and pats on the back.  I m truly suprised that he (Birol) and his family are coming this far.  However, it will guarantee that he will get his gifts with little or no difficulty and sans the duties he may have had to pay.  Now he can also pick and choose any of the other items he can use.
 
 Now for the down side.  After I take the pictures, I need to ask if one of you fine campers could temporarily post the pictures for all to see.  I would post them on WEBSHOTS but I have been holding off on reworking my computer until Birol is set for camping (or at least until he gets back home).  I ve been running this poor thing on a wing and a prayer to keep on the forum and in touch.  I didn t want to drop off and then lose contact.  Soooo, if someone will kindly let me know, I ll forward the photos via email for posting.

 I don t know why I didn t think of it before.  Gone-Camping will be right here and can probably have the pictures set up on his site pretty quick.  I ll have to send the narrative to go along with the pictures for explanation.
 
 I do want to be able to share the happy times and get the look on Birol s face when he sees the " tent"  for real.

 Well,  I ve still got some work to do before tomorrow.   Get the gear together, grind the coffee (in the morning), setup  MYCAVE"  to un-winterize, re-install the battery, check the supplies and GET READY TO CAMP.[/font]

Guess it wouldn t hurt to bring along my digital camera and the lap top too. That way we can copy the pics from Larry s camera right into my computer, I can have them posted that night after I get home from work!
 
 Larry, I suspect I ll be there between 9:15 & 9:30, I gotta stop by the storage unit on my way over there and grab the mattress s and pump (it s right up the street from the house)...
