RE: cast iron at Walmart

Wal-mart has cast iron griddle kits (two griddles and a grill type skillet) and also a cast iron dutch oven for $12.97. I saw them back in the garden center by the grills. Just thought I would post this in case anyone is interested.

Are the Dutch Ovens " Camp Dutch Ovens with the lid to hold hot coals and legs to lift it us a couple of inches?

I am not sure to tell ya the truth, I just kinda glanced at them while I was looking at the portable charcoal grills.

If they don t have the legs, my DH made a stand that works.  I ll have to take a pic but if anyone buys them and wants to know how to make a cheap easy stand, let me know.

Went to Walmart this morning and found a 6 quart cast iron pot in the outdoor section. The lid does have a rim but the pot does not have legs. Cost was just under $13. In the camping section they have a 7 quart cast iron dutch oven with legs and the rim on the lid for just under $35. For those who are interested. This is info from the Wally world here in the Md. panhandle area.
