The Overmans

Have a 2002 Utah.  I have the Spare Tire in the back with the molded ABS cover.  Trying to figure a way to store the ground mat outside of the box in the front of the trailer due to dirt and stuff that sticks to the mat.  Thought of putting PVC Pipe in the back but the tire is in the way.[:@]  Any Ideas?[:)]

The OvermansI looked at this a dozen different ways (even bought the pipe); but never found a way that worked.

Some folks mounted it under the camper frame, directly in front of or behind the axle where clearance would not be an issue.

For me I found it easier to dump the mat I was using and buy one of those fancy poly ground covers.

 They are:

 [ul]

  •  Light (even when wet)
  •  Easy to fold up
  •  Nice and small when folded (fit almost anywhere)
  • [/ul]

I was glad to see the post that Dave will be getting them in the store.

The OvermansI always ended up putting my outdoor rug in a large plastic bag if it was wet or dirty.  I put it on the tongue or inside the door to haul it.  I just received my new plastic patio mat.  I wish the store had been selling them when I ordered mine.[&:]

The OvermansWe still have the indoor/outdoor carpet we bought for our Sedona, so it s actually too small for under our Utah s canopy. We usually shake it out well and then it goes in a garbage bag and into the trunk of the camper, to be taken out at home and cleaned.

We re also waiting for the mats to be available in the Pop Up Times store. Then I ll hand over my capret to my sis for her new Cheyanne.

The OvermansKathy tell her to go first class and buy one of the Mats.  With a new trailer she should have a new mat.[;)]

The OvermansWe used to have a $15 astroturf mat, and I looked good and hard on a way to keep it in a pipe on the outside of the PopUp, but could not find a place.
The only photos I ve seen are of non colemans carying it in the rear.
We used to try to put it in two black garbage bags, but it always left some dirt in our front trunk.
We now have the Poly mats, that came with it s own bag, and are much happier.

The OvermansI just roll mine up and bungee it to the rear bumper.  I could not mount a PVC pipe there because it would get in the way of the bunk end supports.  So now the carpet is the first thing off when we wet up camp and the last thing on when we leave.  Probably will drive off and leave it someday.  It works just fine back there.  I was concerned about road dirt but it has not been a problem.  We just take it off when we get home so it is not exposed to so much ultraviolet.
