MDCamperLiving near Washington, D.C., I have great respect for how volume can affect travel times.  We plan to leave Maryland Friday about O-dark-thirty to miss the Baltimore rush-hr traffic.  We hope to be near NYC by mid-morning and to Sturbridge by mid-afternoon.  We like early stops and starts.  I m glad that our plans to head for Bar Harbor, ME on Sunday rather than Saturday will make the driving easier.  Thanks for the local travel tips.  It s been 4 years since we were to Bar Harbor, and I can t wait.  Love that lobster!

MDCamperOr you could go to Hagerstown, take I-81 North to I-84 and avoid the whole NE corridor mess...and leave when you want.

MDCamperI di an " overknight"  stay at Higgins Armory Muesem last night with my son and members of his cub scout troop.  The boys had a blast!  The muesem has the largest collection of knight s armor in North America and is about 25 miles from Sturbridge village.
