O.K. This is properly a stupid question. When you measure the lengh of a trailer do you measure the lengh from the rear bumper to tip of the tongue. The reason I ask is the carpeting in our TT is lets say 70ish and so worn we can t decide if it s gold or green. At least we have no avacotdo applainces. When we bought it the dealer said it was 25 feet long. When i was measuring to see how many sq. feet of new carpet and floor tile i would need to replace it. the inside was only 22 feet long. I mean it doesn t really matter we love the trailer. I know that all my weekends are going to be in the trailer fixing it up and camping. I was just wandering we are puting our popup for sale and I don t want togive someone the wrong impression on it s size. Or are TT and popups measured differantly.

jackgoesthepopupPop-ups are measured by the box size, not counting tongue or bumper.  8, 10 and 12 ft. are the standard sizes available.  From there, you talk about the bed size at each end, those being double, queen or king.
Can t speak for the others.
 Hope this helps.

jackgoesthepopupI dont think all brands are the same, even in PU s.

Mine is listed on the brouchere as a 13 5"  body. The metal frame underneath  probably measures 12  (haven t checked that). But the body is sloped out on both front and back so it is 13 5"  for most of the box and the roof. (I have measure it at the top and 13 5"  is correct)

So maybe yours also does something like that?

Jeffrey has hit the nail on the head, every manufacturer is different.

But when looking at the length for vehicle registration (some states track length), it is measured from the back of the bumper to the tip of the A frame.

jackgoesthepopupFor purposes of reserving a campsite, though, you need to measure from the tip of the A frame to where the back bed comes out, which is well beyond the bumper.

jackgoesthepopupActually Carole with some of the King sized bunks up from you need to measure from bunk to bunk. I saw a couple that hung over a foot off the coupler hitch.
