 I wasen t going to post this but now I m over the initial shock and a few people were asking.
 
 Our new Christmas Pu, (which we haven t used yet) got burnt up in my BIL garage 2 weeks ago.  He was on vacation and while he was gone a ceiling heater in his industrial garage went bizerk.  He lives in the boonies so there wasen t any fire department except the volunteers, but by the time they were able to get there the building was gone.  He, himself lost 3 totally restored old cars and a partially restored car plus all the tools and machinery.
 
 It s ok though, I wasen t really attached to it yet because we hadn t used it and his insurance is covering most of it and mine will cover the rest plus the few things that were in it.  We just have to wait a few weeks for the checks to come in.
 
 I m going to start looking for a used PU because it would take up to 10 weeks to get another new one.  Starcraft is aparently back logged with orders.  So they say.
 
 So until we find another we still have the tents and will be out camping.  After all, it s not really what you camping in as long as we are together and camping.

 Starcraft DadGosh, that is REALLY SAD!   I m so sorry!  I hope you find a replacement popup soon and at a REALLY GOOD PRICE!!

 Starcraft DadOMG!  That is awful.  What a batch of bad luck!  Thank God he had insurance.
 
 Well, maybe you ll get something even nicer now.  Good luck in searching.  BTW...Ebay has a ton of great Pop Ups, hybrids, and other RV s for sale.  You should check them out.

 Starcraft DadThank goodness you and he had insurance - and nobody was hurt.  Real bummer about the camper though.  Are there any camping shows coming up where you might find a fantastic deal??  I have to leave the house now, or else I d search for you.  Good-luck finding a new one.  Your right, it s not what your camping in, it s that your together!!  Have a great camping season!!

 Starcraft DadLet me first echo everyone else s sentiments, I am very sorry for your loss, but very glad noone was hurt.
 
 More importantly, let me commend you on your perspective.  " After all, it s not really what you camping in as long as we are together and camping. "
 
 That is a very impressive statement.  We all need to keep in mind that the importance isn t the newest toy we have, but the fact that we have this unique opportunity to share time with our families and friends. Best of luck with your search.

 Starcraft Dadso sorry to hear about that.  I know you weren t attached to it as such because you hadn t camped in it, but you have been excited about it.  The good news is it can be replaced and no one was hurt!  You ll get something else and continue having wonderful times with your family!!  Best of luck.

 Starcraft DadThat is so sad.  I am sorry you lost your camper and your BIL lost his cars.  I hope you find a new PU soon and can enjoy the up coming camping season.

 Starcraft DadThat s so sad to hear but since no one was hurt, the insurance will cover it; it makes it easier to bear.  Hope you find a replacement soon.

 Starcraft DadLots of you remember we lost our home in a fire 1.5 years ago.  Yes we lost a lot of " things"  but you find out that those " things"  really don t matter in the whole scheme of things.
 We received lots of love, support, and comfort from friends, loved ones and people we ve never met, including good people from this very board!

 If it was me, I d be throwing fits right now.[:@] But accidents will happen, even to the best people. Keep your heads up, camping season s a few weeks away.[:)]
 Kinda O.T.- what kind of restored cars did your BIL lose?[&:]

 Starcraft DadThank you all for your kind thoughts.  Millertyme, yes it was special ordered.  I hadn t seen it popped up yet but my DW and the boys did stay in it one night in the garage.
 
 MY BIL lost 2 59  restored Chevys. a restored 59"  Cadillac and a 90% restored 57 Thunderbird that he was working on.  His insurance will cover them also but all the time and love he put in the cars are uninsurable and irreplacable.  My PU  being gone is nothing compared to his loss.  But as everyone said, no one was hurt and that we are very greatful for.  
 
 Material things can be replaced in time.  But our family and friends, like you all here at PUT,  cannot.
