I need to know how to wire a lighted switch so it stays lit all the time. I have a light outside the camper and would like a lighted switch to see it at night. The switch has 3 contacts on the back. Any help is long awaited. Thank you for your time!!

julecavEvery switch that I have seen in that variety only lites up when activated. The contact for the lamp is internal(for the source) The Three tabs on the switch are; DC in....DC out.... GRND.  You will have to locate another type of switch.
 Sorry.

julecavIt should stay lite if you change your hookup of the DC in and DC out wires. In other words put your feed wire on the out contact of the switch and your load wire on the in contact of the switch. The ground or common wire still goes on the third contact.

julecavI have only seen the switchs that light up when they are on. I suggest that you put a small light next to it .

julecavjulecav   It will work the way I told you for sure. I have done that with switches myself and it works just fine. I have been an electrician for 30 years now and I am sure of it.

Yup, that ll work. If you want to test it, just grab a pigtail and a battery. Once the circuit is broke, the switch is off. But stays lit.
