[font=" Comic Sans MS" ]     On our first trip of the new season, we discovered our winterizing apparently didn t completely do the trick during the severe weather this winter.  Once under pressure, the cold water connections to the faucets at the sink and shower sprayed water everywhere even though they were tight.   The fittings didn?t look or feel cracked, but no amount of tightening, repositioning of water line and retightening worked to stem the leaks.  Are these shot?  Do we have to replace the fittings or even the entire faucet set???  I?d like to try wrapping the threats with TFE tape and see if that takes up any slack in the treads but I?m not sure that?s a long-term solution. Any guidance on this would be appreciated.

jeffsxylI just installed a pump, hot water heater, and faucet. I put on the same plastic barb to female pipe thread that came off the old pump that was there. Leaked bad so I went and got 2 36   braded faucet supply lines from hardware. I also got brass barb to female pipe and male pipe to compresiom fitting to hook up other end of supply line. But my plumbing is all new and that was what I needed.

jeffsxylSounds like you and I have the same problem.  Your camper is a little more Souped up than mine but I think it was ice that did the bustin .  This is the second ShurFlo in the camper.  The previous owner burst two of them.  I am trying to figure out whether or not it is worth it to try and epoxy the seam or to just buy a new one.  If you find something strong enough to hold the seam under pressure, let me know.
