We plan to take our annual trip to the beach with our camper and want to stay on the beach (preferably with a view of the Gulf if that is possible).  I m looking at Navarre Beach SP and Topsail RV SP.  I m pretty sure that Topsail isn t directly on the beach.  I m not sure about Navarre Beach SP and the information from the state doesn t say exactly.  Does anyone know if Navarre has sites near the Gulf?  I remember a campground I visited 15+ years ago at Navarre that was across the street from the beach but had an unobstructed view of the Gulf and was just a block or so walking distance.  Any help about this CG or others in NW FL or AL on the Gulf would be appreciated.  BTW, I m familiar with the layout of Gulf Shores SP.  Thanks in advance.

stricsmAlthough we have never stayed at the following places, several people we know have camped at these places:

Grayton Beach (between Ft. Walton and Panama City - several campers from the SouthEast PopUp Campers group just got back from here).

Also, there is Fort Pickens in the Gulf Islands National Seashore.  It is right off of Pensacola beach.  It is not directly on the beach but is just across from it and a short walk will put you directly on a non-developed beach.  It is maintained by the NPS.  Here is a review by Doug/Giffster:

This is a link to the park (camping at Ft. Pickens campground ).

 Just a couple of ideas.
