 Hi All,

Got for Xmas a New Digital Camera which I am thankful for, however, how do I get the photos on the web? I have no problem getting them to the computer but sure would like to get them on the web so you all can look at them also. I am sure ther are a million ideas out there ?

 Thanks Whitestar505

 whitestar505The three ways are:

 [ul]

  • Find a friend with a web site that will host them photos for you

  •
  • Create your own web site

  •
  • Use an internet photo storage system
  • [/ul]

Usually the first one dies quickly[:D]

There are several free or low cost services which will allow you to have your own web site.

     Two are

     [link=
http://www.tripod.lycos.com/]Tripod[/link]

 [link=http://www.homestead.com/]Homestead.com[/link]

I have used both but after a sort while I just wanted to have my own site without pop up ads.

The most common photo hosting service is [link=http://www.webshots.com/homepage.html]Webshots[/link].  Many people here use it to show off their photos and find it very eash.

 Good luck

whitestar505I use a site called webshots.  You can post quite a few pictures on there at no cost.  If you want to load tons of stuff like I do it still only costs about $29/year for enough space to load up to your heart s content.

whitestar505I have used both Webshots and Tripod,

Tripod is great for a web page for a lot of text and photos.

Webshots is great for photos, with a description under each photo.

I think webshots is the easier of the two to use, but both are very user friendly

whitestar505Check with your ISP provider. Some allow you to have your own website. For example, at home I use AT&T for my ISP. AT&T allows up to 10mb per email address, they allow up to six email addresses per account which in returns gives you 60mb! So you can either make a website or just upload your photos.
