dee106This is so sad[>:]......  You will both be in my thoughts and prayers....

I watched my grandpa die from Alztimers and it was awful.  In his younger days, my grandpa was always the type of person that was very organized.  He was the kind of person most other people could count on to be the " rock"  when things were down.  It was very, very hard watching things go downhill, especially since he was a scource of security for me as a child.

Today, it gives me peace of mind to know that both my parents, and myself, as well as my sister and brother were there for him all the way to the end.  We laughed, we cried (even at the stupidest things), but most important....we listened.  I was close to my grandpa, so every memory I have is precious.....Even though things sometimes got hard, I never once regretted " just being with"   my grandpa (even when he no longer talked).

There is no greater gift that one person can give to another than good memories....

You are both in my heart......here s a <<<<<<<<<HUG>>>>>>>>>>> for both of you...God Bless[:)]

CamperJonesYou are definately in my prayers. I lost family members to cancer. I do know the heartache of watching this once vibrant and strong person slowly come to depend on you. The worst was when my dad passed away from Multiple Myeloma 18 days before my youngest son was born. He found out that he had had cancer and they told him he wouldn t live 6 monthes. He was diagnosed in June of  83, he passed away in Sept. of  94, 11 years later. He outlived the doctor! Just wanting to shine a little hope your way.
