 I was reading some post s over on the " fix it"  board and I remembered something that happened to me the first year I had my Camper. I wanted to let everyone know so this does not happen to you. On the door latch where the key goes in, where you pop the handle out so you can turn the slide bars inside to drop the door. There are 2 phillips head screws there that are hidden until you pop the handle out with the key. TIGHTEN THEM! I had one fall out and a bar dropped inside the door. What a pain I had fixing that. Dealer wanted $150.00 to repair it. It took me a while to fix but I got it. I had to drill out all the pop rivets that held the door together; I used some heavy duty Gloves while messing with skins (very sharp edges!) I had to hold everything in place with a coat hanger while I put it all back together. I think I had to use 5/16 pop rivets to get it all back together tight. So if you want to save yourself a day of Blood, Sweat and Beer s. Well maybe not the beer s part.... Take a Second to be sure them 2 little screws are tightened.

 CampNfanThanks for the tip. When I can dig out the camper, I ll check these screws and make sure that they are tight.

 CampNfanI m having a hard time visualizing exactly what/where these screws are.  You lost me with the bit about...<<where you pop the handle out so you can turn the slide bars inside to drop the door.>>

 Is this a Coleman thing?  I have an  02 Jayco.

 A drop of thread sealant wouldn t hurt.

 CampNfanNow this is what I m talking about; good informationto stop aggravation...

 CudamanThanks CampNfan;
   That s the kind of helpful information we *coleman* popup owners can benefit from.  Before reading this, I had not even noticed those two screws.  I ll keep an eye on them from here on... Now if I can just tighten up all the other loose screws I have...  [8D]

 Have a great day!
