Well, took my sister and her best friend camping this Memorial Day weekend here in Central TX.  This was our first Corps of Engineers Park visit.  I must say, so far, I prefer State Parks.  The amentities just weren t the same, but a nice park just the same.

 JemJen24Jennifer,

 Looks like you had fun.

Thanks for turning your other reservation over to us.  We had a great time.  We made the drive in just about 5 hours and got to Lake Bob Sandlin at 8:30 PM on Friday.  Only a couple of sites left and we got number 62.  The good thing was it was a very short walk to the showers and restrooms, bad news was we had one group caddy corner to us with about 25 kids and a number of adults, plus at least 4 dogs...at least 6 large capacity vehicles,  They left on Saturday night though when the Thunderstorms started rolling in.  It was kind of funny too...They tore down the tents with everything in them and balled them up and threw them in the vans and trucks.  The rain didn t even start until about an hour after they left.  Rain started late around 10 or eleven and went through the night until about 9 the next morning.  Sunday turned out OK by the afternoon.

We also drove over to Dangerfield SP, I know trlrboy has recommended that park too.  It was a nice park also.  They seemed to have a lot more tent campers though.  Hope they made it threw the night.

You should get your check on Tuesday for the first night that you had prepaid.  If you don t get it by the weekend, let me know.

 Thanks Again,

 JimiJam
