I have been noticing that the front rubber seal on our 2001 Coleman Bayside consistently is indented upward after being up a few days.  It always returns to it s normal positon and shape, but would probably duct tape it if heading immediately into a rain.  We notice no sag problems as are well documented.

This issue was well documented on the old board, but I forget if there is any real solution.  Three questions:

 1. I read once about a solution to extend the shephard hook out a few inches to take pressure off the seal.  Has anyone done that and does it work?

 2. Haven t tried it yet but wondering if I just back off a notch on the adjustment and let the bunkend sag a litttle more if that would help?

 3.  Is this just something we have to live with on the Coleman?

There it is folks...hoping someone has an idea.  Thanks.

CampntimeOz did one also. It s in his Mods #1 album on the second page:

He added " J"  track to keep the seal from getting distorted.

CampntimeThanks for the suggestiions and links.  Thinking the  J channel  might be a good way to go.

Time for another trip to Home Depot!
 Thanks again.

CampntimeTry loosening the back roof clamps.  It may allow the front of the roof to seal better.
