I ve done this for a number of our SCCAMPERS rally s and other rally and camping trips. Evidentially it was not on a CD we passed out at the Vail Lake Roundup. I am posting here so others can enjoy this easy to cook Dutch oven dessert.

 EASY PEACH-ORANGE COBBLER

 (2) 29 oz. cans sliced peaches; drained
1 8 oz. can mandarin oranges; drained (I?ve also used 11-15 oz cans with good luck)
1 8 oz can of apricots (cut halves in half), drained (I?ve also used 11-15 oz cans with good luck)
 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
 3/4 cup brown sugar (I usually use 1-1-1/4 C)
 1 dry yellow cake mix
 12 oz. can orange soda
4-6 Tbsp. butter; cut into pieces

Line a 12"  Dutch oven with heavy foil. Add to the Dutch oven the peaches, oranges and apricots. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over fruit. Dump cake mix in a large pile over center of fruit. Make a hole in the center of the cake mix. Pour orange soda into hole and then stir cake mix in to moisten. Spread mixture evenly over fruit. Dot the top with butter.

Place lid on Dutch oven and bake using 8 briquettes on the bottom and 16-18 briquettes on the top for 45-60 minutes.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream or cool whip as topping.

 I hope you enjoy it.

oldmooseI have to say that Moose s peach cobbler is fantastic.  My dh bought me a DO for Mother s Day and I made some this past weekend along with some of Moose s other recipes--Kamper s Stroganoff, pineapple upside down cake and sausage/apple cornbread.  YUMMY!  Not a low cal weekend!
