Was paging through RA (Reserve America) for any site in July and was pleasantly surprised to find that someone must have just cancelled for 7/19 & 7/20. We jumped on it (site 171) so if anyone else will be around, please stop by and say hi.

DiWWow Di - great find!!  If it s OK, can we please visit for the day??  This will be the first weekend after my sisters wedding and I m sure Steph & I could use a " North Lake"  day!  [&:]  I will admit I m a little jealous that you have my favorite campsite in the entire world...  [8D]

PS - in case you re interested in another North Lake weekend, we have 171 reserved for Sept 5 - 7, 2003...

DiW

DiWHey Rick, we d love to see you guys. Feel free to stop by and share our site. I knew to grab it because the week before I lost a site because I waited to discuss it with Chris. As you can imagine, it was gone the next time I looked. These sites sure do go fast.

DiWOK Wades - we re in!!  I checked RA a few times every day for a Friday/Saturday opening...  Site 88 came up about 10 minutes ago, so I booked it.  I guess  someone canceled.  I ve never camped on 88 before - it s right on the main road, first site in Loop 4.  At least we got a spot, I can t remember any details about it.  Can t wait to show you guys the new PU!!  [:)]

DiW

DiWThat s great Rick. We won t arrive til Sat morn though since all I could get is a Sat and Sun reservation. We plan to head back late Sunday evening (don t like that 11am checkout time).

If anyone else is interested, just keep checking RA to look for cancellations.
 Di

If the weather is nice and Chris can take 1/2 day, we may head up on Friday if a site is available (currently there are some for that one night) but then we d have to change sites on Sat which is a pain.

DiWI wish we could join you, but it is too far and we already have camping plans for that weekend.[&:]

DiW[:(] We ll miss having you there.

 DiWRick & Steph,
Looks like we ll be heading up Sat morn. Courtney and I will leave from dance class and should get there around 12 (not sure if I ll let her drive the copcar since she just got her permit Thursday). Just to warn you, Kelsey is bringing a friend so that makes 4 kids on our site. If you and Steph want to avoid the kid crowd we ll understand but if you re a bit crazy, would you like to hang out/eat with us, you re more than welcome. We re just  planning to throw some steaks & baked potatoes on the grill Sat night. On Sunday, pancakes for breakfast and burgers & dogs in the afternoon if you re interested. I let the younger kids pick the menu. Read the literature today and saw they rent boats. We may do some kayaking.  Also read about a drive-in movie theater in Coxsackie and minigolf somewhere nearby. Have you ever been to either one?

DiWHey Wades...  Here s the plan on our end:  I m arriving Friday around noon-ish and setting up.  Stephie s working till between 6 & 7pm and will head straight up there from work.  My parents will be coming sometime Saturday for the day - they said they needed a " North Lake day"  after the fun filled adventures from the past two weeks...  [8D]  I am not sure if I even have Sunday off and will find out later this week.  We might have to pop-down and leave late Saturday night.  In any case, we will look forward to seeing you guys and poppin  a squat on my favorite site that you grabbed.  [&:][8D]  LOL!  We will sure have a bunch of people!!  Have a safe trip up there.  [:D]

PS - the miniature golf is about 10 minutes away and is a nice little place.  I think they added go-carts last year, but don t quote me on that!  The only time I have been in Coxsackie is to take bad guys to the jail there.  I have no idea about a drive-in...

copcarguy

DiWHello again Di - I found out today that my request for Sunday off was denied...  So we will be popping down Saturday and leaving late.  Is it OK if we pop-down around 8 - 9pm and maybe chill out at your site??  Can t wait to see you guys, even if it is only for Saturday.  Have a safe trip up there.  Will you guys be taking the curvy cliff route (Rt. 23A) or the way past Campers Barn?  (Rt. 28 to Rt. 214)

DiW

 DiWRick,
You re always welcome to hang out on our [:D] (your [;)]) site. Do you want to have dinner with us too? As for the route, I ll leave that up to MR. W - I just followed you guys out last time and didn t really pay attention to the route. I didn t remember the 23A way being too bad but then again I was driving that great handling Ford and not pulling a camper. See you soon.
