On my Coleman Bayside, I have always had problems checking the air pressure of the tires because the valve stems were had to get to because they did not extend far enough out from the hub caps.  So I bought some screw on valve stem extenders at an auto parts store.  They were the cheap four for $3 type.  I screwed one on and immediately air started to leak out of the extender.  I tried all four of them and they all had the some problem.  Is this because car tires are usually inflated to 35 PSI and I am puting them on tires that have 55-60 PSI air pressure?  If that is the case, does any one know where I can get some valve extenders for that pressure range?  Thanks.

 BaysideBruceBruce,
you can get extended valve stems put on by any tire store, I have never had luck with the screw on extenders. I got agravated by the same situation, plus the fact I had to keep taking them off to check the lug nuts so I just took the hub caps off. They make a great decoration on my garage wall[8D]

BaysideBruceI have a two wheel motorized trailer puller that needed an extender. I tried the plastic one with no luck, but bought the metal one and have no leak problems. I got mine at Walmart.
