Just found some mouse droppings in my camper. Yuck!  I m getting ready to pull everything out of the camper, clean and look for how they might have gotten in.  All food stuffs in the camper are canned or or in sealed containers.  Its been raining a lot and I figure that is what has driven them into the camper.

Any hints on where I should look for entry points?

wssfetchMost effective thing I ve found for dealing with mice are frisky cats.

wssfetchAbout time someone had a rodent problem so I can go off on one of my favorite rants.

SEAL UP THE BOTTOM OF THE TRAILER.

It takes one person in the trailer and one underneath. Have the person inside shine a bright flashlight everywhere in the trailer including in the cupboards and under the seats.
Have the person under the trailer be carerful as their jaw will drop in amazment at the amount of holes and cracks under there and stuff will fall in their mouths.[:D]

Get a caulking gun and a cartridge of RTV and if any holes are over say 3/4 of an inch also some crushed up window screen or BRONZE wool (available at major paint stores or big box hardwares..it doen t rust and make a mess like steel wool)
Plug the big holes with the screen or brnze wool and caulk over it with RTV. Then proceed with the smaller holes, gaps and cracks.
Avoid caulks with latex in the materials list as these (while paintable) will dry out/crack/fall out after serveral years from the vibrations of the trailer on the road.

wssfetchThanks Mike!  Boy is the DH gonna love this!  Will report on what we find.  One thing though--when I ve checked in the cabinets and under seats, the vinyl flooring is one piece and seems to be sealed with caulk along the edges.  But for mice all it takes is a small opening.
