The Overmans

We have a 2002 Utah.  The seat cushions on the dinette have (had) plastic stoppers that prevent the cushion from sliding around.  These plastic bottoms are breaking [:@] and will continue to break (in my opinion [:D]) as they are replaced.  What have you done to repair/replace these cushions bumpers?

The OvermansI have the plastic buttons on my seat cushions and had to replace 2 of them early on.  I found that they broke when the seat was being slammed against the frame by the one neighbor boy that used to camp with us.  I have not needed to replace one since.  I did need to place metal repair strips on the wood frames of my seats.  I think your seats have metal frames so you will not have that problem.

The OvermansOther than just replacing the plastic stops, I can t think of another fix.  With your camper being a 2002, I  m thinking that you bought it new, so it should be under warranty.  I d take the cushion back to the dealer and just have them replace the plastic stop.  Our dealer is awesome at doing stuff like that for us.  Hopefully, you ve got a great dealer too![:)]

The OvermansOver the years ours also cracked and fell off, it s from the constant movement of the cushion, I also added a metal strip at the wood frame where the stop makes contact(seen that on someones mod page). To replace the stops I got 7/8"  rubber screw bumpers at Home Depot they are hard rubber and they seem a little nore forgiving, we ll see if they last as long as the originals.[:)]

The OvermansThe Fix was done by my wife without me knowing.  YOU GO GIRL!.  She bought from a fabric shop some round wooden balls.  the then just screwed them in.  Tested this past weekend and Presto! Good to Go![:)]
