I read in the KOA book that the Petoskey KOA campground was selected the KOA best campground for 2002. We stopped on our way to the Upper Peninsula. We did not have reservations and got there at 800 Pm. They only had one site left and it did not have electricity. The place was immaculate. Everything was clean, they had a nice pool. The sites were landscaped. The grass was cut and very green. I can see how they won the award. The staff was friendly. There is a new 4 million dollar bike trail that I think is 29 miles that goes right along lake Michigan. Site only cost $26.50.  The roads were newly paved and in excellent shape.

hbfc6Thanks for the information.  We have family in the Petoskey area and I have oftern wondered what the KOA there is like.  I have stayes a a few KOAs and they can really be hit or miss depending on the owner.
