 YellowXterraI have some concern with the state park near Memphis - T.O. Fuller - Their site says they do not accept reservations.  I just cant see myself driving from Pasadena TX to Memphis TN - with no reservation!   Especially given the problems Memphis has been having with their power problems due to the storm on July 22nd.
 
 Any other ideas???  Private Parks or RV Parks within a 30 Minute Radius??

 ambrosiaI have never had a problem getting a site at our state parks even during the 4th of July.

 ambrosiaLook at Village Creek state park in Arkansas it seems to be 40-50 miles away though.   [link=http://www.arkansasstateparks.com/]Here[/link] is the link to Arkansas State parks.  [link=http://www.mdwfp.com/scrWildlife/ParkDist.asp?District=2]Here[/link] is the link to Mississippi State Parks near Memphis.  We stayed at Grenada once.  The staff was really nice but it is at least 2 hours to Memphis (but near where Casey Jones crashed his train).

 ambrosiaLet me preface this with, we ve never stayed in that area with the camper so I have no idea what kind of accomodations you can expect.
 
 Try www.reserveamerica.com
 
 There are several Army Corp of Engineers campgrounds in that area.  You can browse the maps (I just looked at Mississippi).
