Has anyone test driven one of  [link=http://www.vw.com/touareg/]these[/link] yet?  It s rated at 7,000lbs.  Nice to have another option!

How heavy is it?  I would hate to have my TV be a lighter weight than my trailer even if it can tower it.

112"  wheel base, pretty short ....Good for towing a fully loaded 23  Hybrid or something. or excellent tow vehicle for the new Colemans. But 50K+ ? Give me a break ..........
 
 
 Curb weight is 5,300 Lbs, pretty heavy for an empty vehicle .....

I ve seen this and it is not your father s VW.  (Mine had a 65 Hatchback).  This thing was fancier than my Eddie Bauer Expedition.  Leather and wood all over the place.  Alot of sophisticated traction and control monitoring.  It is based on the Porsche Cayenne.  Definite 4 seater.  Much too fancy for my likes and camping.
