birolI thought you were going last week somewhere?

 birolBirol,
If you are coming to MI, that is the week before Labor Day Weekend and could be busy with end of summer vacationers.  The Mackinac area is popular, you may want to check ahead for a spot. (there are many nice State Forests to camp at,cheaper, less crowded and normally quiet. But first come first serve)

We will be about 45 min South of the bridge, if you are up there by Labor Day weekend maybe we can get you lost in the woods trying to find us[8D]

To be honest, I was a little disappointed when we went last summer to Lake of Two Rivers.  The area is phenomial but over used.  There are two types of camping in Algonquin; Corridor and Interior.  The Corridor locations are right along the only highway going through the park, very easily accessible and very busy.  The Interior locations are only accessible by backpacking or canoing, I haven t had the pleasure.

In my mind, I had an idea of what Algonquin was, the wonder, awe and mystic I had expected were not met.  It is a beautiful location and has a lot to offer, just not what I had expected.
