We returned from a trip yesterday and I plugged the PU in to keep the fridge going.  I noticed hours later that the converter fan was running.  Usually the fan only runs when something powered by 12-v is on, so I m a little stumpted.  I checked today and it s still running.  I have unplugged the 110vac and plugged it back in, but the fan starts up again.  The fridge is switched to AC and the water pump turned off.  Kill switch off makes no difference.

As I write this I am wondering if the battery is being recharged, thus the reason the converter fan is running.  I ll have to unplug the battery and see what happens.

The converter is a Centurion 3000 if that is useful info for you.

 Any comments appreciated.

 Thanks.

TheWallRocksThe converter fan will always run when plugged into A.C. even when their is no D.C. power being used.

TheWallRocksI have the same converter in mine, I ll check it tomorrow. If it does run all of the time it just makes it less efficient. No need to run a fan if there isn t enough load to generate heat. Just easier to build one that way.
