Starting sometime this year, you will be able to make reservations (online, I believe) up to 11 months in advance of your stay at a VT State Park! This will certainly change my method of reservation, which was to fax a list of dates and sites on January 2nd!!
If you have favorite parks and sites, you will want to be " on the ball"  about reserving them! I will try to keep you posted on this.
If you bring groups into the VT State Parks, for instance, I reserve 14 sites at Ricker Pond for our church s Fellowship Club, then you will want to stay in touch with the reservations office so that you can have instruction on how to make group reservations.
It s 10 below zero and we have 2 feet of snow on the ground and I m very jealous of those talking about camping on MLK Weekend!

I tried for two days to get through on the phone to make my reservations and finally figured out to fax my choices for three weekends at Lake ST.Catherine and Emerald Lake.  I actually got my first choices confimed in the mail shortly thereafter ![:D]  It probally helped that our choices wouldn t be considered prime spots to most but suit us quite well (next door to MIL and FIL in lean-to).
Keep us posted on the online reservations
