 We own a 1997 Coleman Yukon that was bought used and we are not able to get our power converter to automatically switch to battery power. We have a MagneTek 6620 series with option or code O. Does anyone have this exact same converter and if so tell me if yours switches to battery power.  thanks a bunch

 Lablover...sorry, I read too fast- thought you were looking for the 1997 Coleman owners manual...

 LabloverLablover;

   A simple question first...  When you plug in the PU to city power does your lights in the PU work?  If they do... (and I suspect that they are working) then your converter is also fine.  Thats the good news.

 My bet would be that the battery is toast.  I read the other post you put up, and like 6quigs and mike 4947 have suggested... the battery is likely dead.  Its a lot less $$$ to replace the battery than the converter.

 Let us know if the lights are on.

 LabloverThanks for your input. The lights go on so it looks like the battery is toast. I guess what I am asking is if the battery was good, should it automatically switch to battery power with the model converter that we have. I have already determined that this model does not have the capability to even slightly charge as the others claim to do and Mike has straightened me out on this matter. Also if the battery is good but not fully charged and provided it is hooked up to the TV engine will this " recharge"  as we tow down the road? Thanks again,

 LabloverSandy, I know that my Bantam is not a Coleman, but mine was supposed to automatically turn over to battery power and would not. It was a combo of things, blown fuse in converter, because of unpluggung the break away switch and then plugging in the shore line. There was a breaker when the battery got too low that broke, and the truck did not have a relay needed for charging the battery while towing.

 All that is now fixed, and I had bettery power at the dealer. Picked up the relay at Ford and I should be set for alomost anything now...if my battery is still good...
