RE: camp fire snacks....

 jpreiserWe like all of them-another campfire treat not mentioned is roasted apples.You cook  em on a stick,then roll them in sugar and cinnamon.Someone told us that Scouts often make them.

 jpreiserMarshmallows are a favorite although we really don t like S mores.  I do make a grand granola that we also snack on (great for hikes too).

 jpreiserWe always end up having dinner so late, we are too full for snacks.  We do however have some smores for the kids, and we ve had popcorn, but our favorite might be the homemade ice cream, cranked until it won t turn anymore.  Big bowl of ice cream, with your toes toasting by the fire.

 And I thought salted peanuts in the shell was the standard campfire snack.  Our other standard is Gorp, equal measures cocktail peanuts, M&Ms, and rasins.  Served up with the frosty beverages of course[:)]
