WayfarerHi Wayfarer,  we haven t been to La for camping but I did look up a couple of places for you in " Trailer Life" .
Dogwood Ridge Camper Park:  Junction of I-49 and LA-6.  38 spaces, mostly shaded, approx. 8 pull-throughs.  W/E, restrooms with showers.  Ratings were in the average range. (phone 318-352-8619)
Nakatosh Campground:  Junction of I-49 and SR-6.  41 full hook-ups and bathrooms and showers.  Some pull-throughs.  Cable TV.  Ratings were also average. (phone 318-352-0911 or 318-352-2055)
Country Livin  RV Park This one advertized in the book and is a Good Sam place.  Average ratings.  Full hook-ups, modem friendly, bathhouse and laundry, pull-throughs.  Located in Ajax off I-49 at exit 155.  (phone 318-796-2543)

Sorry I couldn t be more help but this should get you started.

WayfarerThanks for the reports and suggestions.  Will hold the trip until after Thanksgiving as that s when I hear they have the big Christmas Light extravaganza through Christmas.  Will check out the LA state park down on Toleda Bend as I understand it s not too far away.  Just thought that someone from that general area might have some great recommendations.  Appreciate all your input.
