I haven t posted for awhile so I will update a few things. As everyone knows I ve become a seasonal so my pu is always ready for me. But it sure is taking a beating. My pu is 99% under the shade so anything the squrriels do is falling on the roof. It is getting so dirty especially the tents. When I was walking this weekend I saw another Flagstaff and it was so clean. The owner says he hardly uses it. If I don t have spider problems you get moths. I can t wait until I can scrub the pu. My husband finally finished putting the snaps on my screen room. Its great not to have the screen fall when I try to zip it up when it gets wet. Now with the snaps....it stays in place. I am having one health problem.....about a month ago I was fixing the awning going up and down a chair, so now my leg near the knees are killing me. I noticed that when I camp it gets worse. I believe the step from the door to the step is a big drop. It seems when I land on the step it takes a little bounce so my husband put bricks underneath to stabilize the step but it hasn t helped. I think I have to have wooden steps made for me. Does anyone else have this problem? I still love my pu especially the shower, if I didn t have that I probally would have bought a trailer instead. You can t beat having two queen size beds thou. After camping this summer with fans, I did not miss air conditioning.....even with the humidity. I truly believe it made a difference to be under shade. I hope everyone had a great labor day weekend of camping.....I surely did.

 FoxyladiesRoseann,

We rented a campsite for three months (will expire October 15th). With all the rain we ve had, I decided I didn t want to have everything completely soaked. Sooooooo, I covered the entire popup and AAR with one giant tarp. 12 poles keep it up (anchored by 24 corkscrew dog tieouts) and a couple of 3/8"  nylon ropes crossed over its top. We ve weathered high winds and more rain than Noah could have withstood and everything is dry (knock on wood). We ve had visits from spiders, bugs, a snake, bat and local chipmunk. Somehow, the popup is still surviving! [;)]

FoxyladiesRoseann sorry to hear you are not feeling great.  Getting a set of lower steps seems like a good idea for fixing the problem.  Can you wash the PU on the site?  Just hosing it off can get rid of a lot of crud.

FoxyladiesJust wanted to say welcome back -- glad you enjoyed yourself and were able to withstand the heat and humidity.

Adding a wood step or something along that line will definitely help.  With our old PU, I got a small step stool (1 step) to put under the door to help get down as it was a long step and very difficult to get down.

FoxyladiesDoes anyone know the words to the theme song for the Inspector Gadget movie.   I think that s what we should start calling my little brother TC, he has so many weird ideas for stuff to add to his camping experience.

FoxyladiesWhere I m a seasonal your allowed two washings a year. But after having all that rain in June and July, my screenroom on the outside got mildew and mold on it. Even under the awning it was getting it too. So I used mildew cleaner and it looked brand new again.....unbelievable. Also because of the rain, the back of the tent area got mold on it. Just the front of my pu gets the sun.....maybe for a couple of hours. Last year when I did the seven weeks in the fall, I had put tarp over the pu so it was dry when I closed up. I m having the cg winterize my pu when the season finishes (Oct. 15th). My son is getting married on the 18th so I m not closing up until after the wedding. There is alot too do and take home for the winter and I don t want my back to go out before the wedding. Does anyone know what the distance is from the bottom of the door to the step? Are all pu s the same? I m trying to figure out how big the step down has to be.

FoxyladiesThe distance will vary on different PUs.
