While setting up this week I discovered two cracks in the corner of our 2001 Coleman Westlake.  Each is about about three inches long, and they are both on the top corner of the back end of the camper, just where the box meets the roof seal.  Has anyone else experienced this?

CampinfoolsOn the ABS panels? If so, then yes, ours was cracked and we had the panels replaced.

CampinfoolsI guess that s what you call it - do you know, or did they suggest, why this would happen?

CampinfoolsAs far as I have heard here, it s something that happened to many 2001 and 2002 Coleman/Fleetwood trailers. Someone had mentioned something about a drill bit that was too small, being used at the factory. Then they put a screw that was too big in there and the result was the cracks.

I spotted ours at just one year, so our dealer replaced them under warranty.

CampinfoolsIf the crack isn t too bad you can drill a hole at the end of the crack so they will not get any bigger.  I would complain to the dealer and see if they will replace them for you.

CampinfoolsWouldn t that fall under the manufacturers workmenship warranty?  To me it should be covered, but that is just my opinion.

CampinfoolsMine were replaced at no charge, but I reported it to our dealer within one year. Afetr one year, they charge for shipping., I believe.
