Growing up in south Louisiana meant that I was destined to be an LSU Tiger fan. I have many fond memories of listening to the games on the radio at night with my dad. Since the Tigers play most of their games at night, listening to the game on the radio while sitting next to a nice campfire is just a natural. Unfortunately, I lost my dad this past Palm Sunday, but as I write this, I get the warm fuzzies just thinking of how he and I would enjoy listening to the game together. Watching the game on television just doesn t create the same sentimental feelings as listening on the radio. So come gametime, I ll pull up a chair for him, open a beer and cheer on the Tigers in his memory.

 CajunCamperCajun,

My father passed away almost 20 years ago and since then football just doesn t hold the same interest for me as it did when we could watch together. Some how it seemed we were on opposing teams when it came to the NFL, but of course college ball we were united fans!

I sure wish I could join ya on one of those camping trips but I do tend to get a little violent during ball games. Some of my friends often had bruises on them when there was an outstanding play, or a " what in the *#LL was that"  kinda of play.

 Enjoy the fall camping!

CajunCamperI m not much of a College Football fan, but if you talk NASCAR!!!!

Sitting around, listening to the description of the racing...  It really makes your imagination work...

CajunCamperTo me, the best time to camp is in the fall.

I place the small TV on the picnic table, and watch the Georgia teams on Saturday. Keep in mind, the only time the TV is even brought out is during the World Series, and Georgia football.

All the other times, I m just sucking up to nature.

    Ahhhh... that s the life.

CajunCamperI ve never been much of a College football fan, though my late Uncle was the U-Conn head coach for many years!!! However, due to my New England upbringing, I am (and always will be) an avid New England Patriots fan... [8D]
