We had our first flat tire on our way home from camping last weekend.  We are supposed to go camping again next weekend but are unable to find a tire on a rim to replace the spare we are using.  Does anyone know where to purchase one?  The dealer doesn t carry them and doesn t order them.  Wally World and Sam s don t have them (they do carry 12"  tires but ours is a 13" .   Tire World is unsure if they have 13"  but will check but they definetely won t come with a rim.  I m really discouraged and can t believe it should be this difficult to replace a tire.  Our rim is badly bent related to the flat.  Thanks for any help.

You can try the above site I had good luck with them.

 slowpezHere you go:

 http://docu-serve.com/duro/distributors.html

Fill in the blanks and find the closest dealer, or call Duro themselves at 1-800-966-TIRE(8473)

 Or go to http://www.durotires.com/
and look under " Bias Trailer Tires"  on the left side of the page. (this is a retail sales distributor)

 Or : tiresunlimited.com 1-800-628-4737

Or: call the Dexter axle company ( http://www.dexteraxle.com/  ) at (547)295-7888 and ask for the closest distributor to purchase a wheel. Be sure to get *high pressure* valve stems rated for the 65 psi the Duro s will need, regular stems are rated for only 50 psi.

My apologies to slowpez, I gave her the wrong web site for a Duro retailer, so I have corrected the information in this post.

slowpezTry another tire shop.  I ordered PU tires from 2 different tire shops in the past.  Both were locally owned, not a chain store.

It sure doesn t sound like your dealer wants your business.[:@]

slowpezI posted this earlier, but not sure what size tire it is.  Their website is under construction, but they have an 800 number and an email contact

Actually, we didn t buy from him.  We tried but he wasn t really interested in selling us a PU so we went to Charlotte instead.
Thanks for all the info.  Thanks for the phone numbers AbDiver.  DH has called Duro and will send us a new tire with rim but we have to send the money first so it sounds like it will take us a while to get a new one.  There is a possibility that a local marine store has them.  DH just called to ask about the ply so I gave him that info and he will call them back and see.  They wanted $62 each however.  If we do buy from them we will at least get to go camping this weekend.
 Again, thanks all.  Susan

slowpezHello fellow Columbian!  We had to get new tires at the end of last season, and being the FRUGAL (NOT cheap [;)]) person I am I called EVERY tire/RV/Farm supply place in SC.  The cheapest I found in town was Dr. Tire in the Eau Claire area, but it took three days to get them in.  They were @ $50 each walking out the door, but that was without rims.  I remember that they could have ordered them w/ rims, but they were @ $20 more.  Franks Tires also could order them too at about the same price.  This was the Duro brand bias tire.  I had to specifically ask for them.  Our next choice was the online ordering, but shipping was kinda high.  Good luck![&:]  Hope your camping again soon!
