All summer I worked, and I mean worked hard on killing my lawn. NOt a drop of water would I let fall on it. Although not getting rain helped. I would tell my neighbor " dont you dare let that water get on THIS side of my driveway or you will be mowing my lawn!"
 
 After two months of no water, or an occasional sprinkle I had achieved my goal. The grass was a nice beigy brown color. It was wonderfully burnt to a crisp, enough if you walked across it it broke off.
 
 But then........
 We got rain, and rain and rain last weekend.
 
 Now.....
 I gotta go out and freaking mow!!! [:@] All that hard work for nothing!!
 
 Once again I am reminded why it would be nice to have a husband!

did you ever think of  installing astroturf ? i think you ll make your neighbors happier then a brown lawn?

Around where I live, people go to the other extreme.[]
