*** TO GET BACK IN HERE ***

I can't remember EXACTLY what I did, but here's what I think happenend (for those who are still locked out).

1) Attempt to login to the board.
2) When the reject message arrives, say you forgot your password. Give it your email address and user name. "X" the message board & wait for an email.
3) When the email comes, there is a link in it. Copy the link, paste to your "goto" area and go to the link. Something happens here and you will be getting another email with your username and password.
4) When the email shows up, "X" the message board, write down your user name and ***NEW TEMPORARY PASSWORD***, go back to the login area and login with the two.
5) You should be back in to the board at this point.

*** ONCE YOU'RE BACK IN ***
A) At the top of the page is a "USER CP" tab. Click on it to go to your profile area.
B) Near the top of the profile page are some headings. "PASSWORD" is one of them. Click on it and reset your password to whatever you want it to be.
C) Using the other "tabs", you can re-setup your profile.

I used the #1-5 for getting connected and A-C for setting up your profile. If you use this thread to help accomplish these things, please document what you do and post the updates here. I'll edit the above things to provide a more accurate pathway for everyone.

Thanks for posting that.  Those are the same steps that I used, and at the time it seemed like a lot of monkey-business, but I guess it wasn't really so bad.   At least I'm in now, and I'm really liking what I see so far.

From what I can tell, anyone can read, but can't post. Correct?
You can read everything, if not logged in.

Gary,

That's the truth....."look but don't touch!" LOL

Our A-hole-L 8.0 has been messed up for 5 days & I couldn't get to the web. Reloaded 4.0 last night, got to the board & found this junk. I could see that people were accessing the board but I couldn't log in. NO WHERE did anyone post something to tell me what to do! There's probably a lot of frustrated members hovering in cyberspace wondering when they'll be rescued! ;)

It took several attempts to log in. I quess with this new board, it reset all passwords, or maybe just some.
Very frustrating at first, but will continue to check out and test this board.

It was very cumbersome getting back in.  I tried several times before I realized it was not going to accept my password.  Then, I did a lot of reading to try to figure out what I did wrong during the 15 minute wait (since I made 5 attempts and it locked me out.)   Then I tried a few more times (not 5 ) and it was still telling me I was locked out and to wait another 15 minutes.   I waited almost an hour for the new password.  There should have been a better way.  There are still probably some members out there trying to get back in.:(

"I waited almost an hour for the new password. "

I had to reset my password also, but I got the e-mail telling me how to reset the password, and then the second e-mail with the new password almost instanteously.

I tried three times to log in--thought maybe I'd just forgotten my password. Then I thought it might be the new software, so I clicked the "Forgot my password" button.

After I clicked the "Forget password" button, I went to my e-mail, clicked "Send/receive" and there was the e-mail with the link on resetting the password. Clicked on that link and it told me the new password had been mailed to me. Went back to the e-mail, clicked "Send/receive" again, and there was the new password! I logged in, then clicked the link that was in the e-mail to reset the password and did so. The whole process probably took less than 3 or 4 minutes.

Not sure why it took an hour to reach you, but I don't think the problem was the new software.
