Quote from: SactoCampers... While in Dallas, I will take Sactotoddler to the Dallas zoo, and on our way home from LA, we're meeting Mrs. Sacto's brother and his girlfriend and going to the Santa Barbara zoo.

One business trip, three zoos!

For what it's worth I think the Fort Worth zoo is much nicer than the Dallas Zoo but YMMV.  If you do find yourself with some time to wander the Fort Worth stockyards can be fun for short people, as can the Dallas Science Museum and the Fort Worth Science museum.

Enjoy the trip!

Unfortunately, the Fort Worth zoo is not on my "reciprocal zoo & aquarium list". Gotta make use of my new zoo membership!

You'll love the San Antonio riverwalk. Just watch the little ones so they don't jump in. LOL But there are lots of neat shops and excellent restaurants (great margaritas).Of course you'll want to ride the boats for a small tour and the riverwalk mall is there too with an IMAX. The Alamo is in walking distance from the river. It is a must see. At the SA zoo is Breckenridge park across the street. It has a really cool minature train ride that lasts a good 25 minutes.
San Antonio has a lot to see and do there. Enjoy!
