Let me start out by saying that I dearly love my DH, but this prayer from one of my pet boards almost made me fall out of my chair!  

Dear Lord,
I pray for the Wisdom to understand my man;
Love to forgive him;
And Patience for his moods.
Because, Lord, if I pray for strength,
I'll beat him to death.          Amen

Ack!  I shoulda known you'd spill the beans!  But wait...  Hubby is on nights and works tonight!  Mwahahahaha - that means MY evening prayer is before HIS!  (And I'll remember you in my prayers too... )

Ah, Teri, this prayer-poem   will have special meaning for any wife married more than a week, especially someone like Al's Peggy   ( I bet she prays a lot, but then, so do I). :W.

After 45 years with my own DH, I have often prayed  for patience.  Sometimes, it was actually granted to me, and that is what has kept us together for 45 years  :J

After 23 years it hasn't gotten better, sometimes I do pray for STRENGTH but I haven't gotten to the beating part yet.
