Where to stay in Missouri

I'm looking for information about either Weston Bend State Park or Lewis & Clark State Park ~ both near Kansas City, MO.   I'm trying to decide which park to stay in.  

I'll be there with 8 kids (not all mine!!) between the ages of 10 and 4 (and a few grownups, too)   Information about (kid-friendly) activities in the area would be much appreciated too!
