    If you have received your new POPUP Times Mag. did you see the camp grounds advertisement  for Lake George ? http://www.lakegeorgeescape.com/main.htm

Has anyone ever been there?

I have been there. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Sites around the frong pond are roomy but don't have hook-ups.  

Other sites with water and electric are well shaded with scrub/plants between some sites, though a bit closer together.

The (new last year)bath houses were the cleanest one's I have EVER seen!  They are cleaned twice a day.

There are 2 pools, one heated.

Nice outdoor "cafe" with good food!  Not just snacky stuff but real dinners.  Baked stufffed chicken, shrimp, rice pilaf, grilled veggies.  Not expensive for what you get.

Friday evening they had a band with dancing.

Lots of outdoor activites... playground, peddal bikes to rent, kayaks, canoes and john boats to rent and use on thier river (slow moving).  They also have on site tubing... they take you up the road, drop you off and you tube along the gentle river, ending right back on their own riverfront beach.

It's in a good, quiet location and only a short drive (20 mins at the most) to the Lake George touristy areas.

It was one of our favorite places to camp... especially since we have kids.
