Superbowl that is! The Patriot's just barely squeeked through with the win, their second in three years! I have to tell ya, I was sitting on the edge of my seat knawing on my fingernails until those last 4 seconds! WooooHooooo!!!!

Carolina put up a good fight, just as I knew they would. They deserve a lot of credit for doing so well with a team so short in history!

YES!  Great game and great funny :D ads, too.

We aren't really a fan of either team I am a Cowboys fan and Jay likes the 49ers, we actually watched just for the commercials.  Jay was rooting for the Panthers so I was for the Pats just to make it interesting.  Regardless, it was a great game and both teams played really well.

NightOwl

the GAME itself was very exciting and the contest was more even than anyone had predicted, so the ending was a real Hold Your Breath.  I think both teams can be very proud of the way they played.

My close friends here know that  I have a VERY "earthy" sense of humor and dont have a prudish cell in my brain.  But, frankly, with a few hundred thousand  young kids watching, I thought some of the ads were a bit much.  And I thought the half-time show was just plain TRASH!  A Groper and  a Slut--it will be a great way to remember the 2004  halftime show.  And I DONT believe for a second that CBS didnt know what was going to happen.   Their so-called apology is bogus and their disclaimer is just plain bullsh*t!  Disgusting.

Imus remarked this morning that the family hour must really have been improved by learning that a guy could walk around "with a constant boner" for 36 hours if he took Levitra.

The half-time show debacle all boils down to GREED and selling to the lowest common denominator (mental level).  And it represents one of the things REALLY WRONG with this country today, both morally and artistically!

I don't think the Network was expecting that, nor was the Superbowl exec's. It's created quite an uproar everywhere, and I've already heard that MTV will not be called upon again to create the half-time show!

Even Ms. Jackson claims it was not planned, but by the looks of the special ummm, ornaments? she was wearing, I'd have a hard time believing they (Jackson & company) didn't plan this right from the beginning, it was obvious. I think the Networks and the NFL were hoodwinked along with the rest of us! (Just my 2

Just wondering:

Next time your local pervert gets arrested for exposing himself, do you suppose it will now become an acceptable defense that he was just suffering a bad case of "costume malfunction"??   :J

But I want to say again--I agree 100%--the GAME itself was fantastic--some of the best football I can recall ever  seeing!.  Carolina may have lost, but they dont need to apologize to anyone for the way they played.  And of course, the Pats  showed that they never give up!  At least the game was classy! :D

I had typed a long winded reply, my the windows got closed because of a popup !

It was disgusting having to see this happen in the morning news programs, with no censor over the assets ! I mean what was his hand doing over the assest like that ? And then ripping of that part, which was easily designed to be taken off easily ! Not planned, right !!!!!

My DD really loved the show ! She was so pleasantly surprised ! If she asks us to modify her clothes, we will have to get the name of Janet's tailor ! My Son at least managed to act shocked ! He now probably thinks that all clothes should be designed that way ! How responsible of the news people to show it over and over again in the blink of an eye   I think we should not watch the news anymore with the kids when we are having breakfast !

I like this though ! First Britney and Madonna kisses, and then assets are shown, what is next, A live broadcast of M.J. sleeping with a kid till morning ????

I'm no prude but that halftime show was absolutely disgusting and disgraceful. Josh Groban's beautiful performance is what true entertainment and singing are about...true talent. People like Janet Jackson, etc., really think that talent is all about their bumping and grinding and dirty gestures, etc. Apparently the Jackson family has no issue with displaying forms of nudity and acting lewdly in front of children...seems to be a family trait. How absolutely stupid does Justin Timberlake think we the public are to accept their explanation of it was a clothing malfunction. I am so sick of it. I hope Janet Jackson sells zippo CDs or it at least crashes and burns. Aerosmith needs to hang it up, they're old men, they had their time when I was in high school 25 yrs. ago. I was offended by their astronaut getups also given the anniversay of NASA's tragedy.    Kid Rock was a joke and he needs to hang it up too, instead of Kid Rock, he should be Grandpa Rock, cause he's no kid either, he looks like a fool...cut your hair and pull up your pants...you're no teenager.

I am so angry my kids witnessed that whole display after enjoying such an exciting first half of the football game. What must be done to enforce some type of industry standards in decency? Last night was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I've had it with these no talents shoving their filth and lack of decency in my face so blatantly.

If you've had it to, send an email to //www.cbs.com and //www.fcc.gov to let them know how you feel.

I thought the first half was the worst Superbowl in history.
I thought the second half was the best Superbowl in history.

What happened in between?  Must have been coincidence.

BTW...I don't think it was close.

If Adam V. had missed the kick, the game would have gone into overtime, and New England hasn't lost in overtime in 3-4 years.  As soon as it was tied, a Patriot's victory was all but secure.

Aw, I missed the whole thing......the "costume malfunction," I mean, but BF saw it all. Yep, all...  The uncensored version and now it's all over the tubes on the news.  Heck yeah, an investigation is going to be launched.  Well, what are they going to investigate.....the assets?;) :J    Well, I didn't like the half time show from the outset and had gone to the frige for a snack and a drink and missed the whole thing.  BF was yelling and then, "Oh you missed it already!"  I'm going, "Missed what?"  "Janet Jackson's boob," he said.   Yeah, like I really wanted to see that.  Give me a break!  I really didn't want to see the mess in the first place.  Disgusting and a low blow on the her part for wearing something that would malfunction.   The news media is now having field day and this will go on for a long time.  Our local TV station has issued an apology to its viewing audience for what happened and has appealed to CBS and others to ensure that this kind of thing doesn't happen again during half time.:o
