Blown Fuse?

I recently took the popup out for a winter trip.  I discovered that my interior ceiling lights (12v) were not working and the ceiling aux jacks were also dead.  I checked the fuses at the converter and they seemed fine.

I didn't want to stress out and the other systems (like the heat) were still working so I calmed down and had a nice trip w/my flashlight.

I would like to fix it for the spring.

Is there commonly an in-line fuse somewhere for the ceiling lights?  If a bulb burned out would that make the other lights not work?

I seem to remember a thread on this a few years back but couldn't find it.

Thanks Dennis

Check the galley switch, if this is stuck or defective, the ceiling lights won't come on.

While the galley switch is a common fault, if it's only the ceiling lights a more common problem is the connection to the roof. Find where the wiring drops down along one of the roof supports and follow it down checking for a connector. Not uncommon for it to "disconnect" and most times just pushing it back together works.

Exactly my thought..  my lights would actually cut off after awhile and come back on until the wiring heated up. then off again.    Problem WAS connector on exterior of camper behind galley and beside lift rail.  I noticed a very small break in the plastic so I taped the connector together tightly and have had no more problem since.  That was two years ago !!

If it is a Coleman/Fleetwood trailer check the wires that run in the fold of the tenting on the rear roadside.  There is a connector in the wires in that area. :)

My BIL had this problem and after some detective work I found it was the "cut-off" switch that cuts the power to the ceiling lights when the camper is folded down. I'd check the switch FIRST next time!

My brother-in-law had the same problem also with the cut off switch. The wire connection on the back of it must have been loose because it had melted the wire a little and the connector was discolored. I had the other problem with my camper - the plug outside the camper going to the ceiling lights.

We had the same problem and we found out that there was a blown fuse in the inverter. It seems that some of the wires underneath had gotten frayed and shorted against the frame.

...A  few trips back,  i had a similar problem. After checking/changing fuses in inverter-nothing; found an in-line fuse between battery box/trailer wire. We have a palomino...might wanna check there...
