In honor of St. Patricks Day...

does anyone have any good Limericks??!!  We usually have a gathering at our house on the 17th for St. Patricks Day, and I thought it would be a good "over dessert" form of entertainment!  So, lets hear from you all!!

OH, begorra, tis indade St Paddy's  Day upon us!

Andi, wish I had a limerick or two for you,  but instead  I will confess something I used to do on March 17 when our girls were small.  I used to start their day when I woke them up speaking in a horrible fake  Irish brogue and tell them, "Top of the marnin' to you, me darlin's.   Oh, faith and begorra, 'tis happened again!  The Leprachauns have enchanted me poor tongue and  twisted it all about so that I must  speak in this  Old Way until this Holy Day is  over.  Now make haste to get out of your beds before I have to take a shellaghla to the two of you."  Well, when they were really little they believed this, and later they thought it was hilarious to have such a nut for a mama, although I think they might have secretly feared  that they'd have to listen to me talk that way "the whole rest of me life" if the Leprachauns didnt remove the spell.   :J

 Ah, Faith and Begorrah, 'tis St. Paddy's Day again at last!   And the top of the marnin' to all of you  whose blood runs green.  Ooops, the Leprachauns have got me tongue again--now must I go and get me some good green beer to celebrate!  Or maybe some Old Bushmills  with some coffee and cream in it!(There'll be no wearin' of the Orange in OUR house this day.)
