B-flat

The new Mr. B-flat and I tied the knot yesterday in a very small ceremony.  Last night we went to the usual Friday night music making on a private farm and the folks there had a huge supper for us.  My chef friend at the local country club made a big birthday-wedding cake for us to serve at the party, since it was also Mr. B-flat's birthday. (All have said that he won't have any reason to forget the anniversary.  ;)  :D  ) We had a great time at the party and got lots of good wishes from all.  Just wanted to let everyone know that I am checking in from my honeymoon from an undisclosed location.  :W  :!  :!

Nancy, sounds like your marriage is off to a wonderful start.  May it always remain a joy for both of you!  (And surely it is a very good omen that DH wanted to have his birthday celebrated  by getting married. :) :S

Good thing you are writing from an "undisclosed location"  I dont know if they do this in North Carolina, but in Illinois when my cousin got married, their friends came out to their farmhouse in the middle of the night banging on pots and pans and tooting car horns and had a "Shivaree" (bastardization of an old French word, I think) and cousin and DH  had to get up and go out and give everyone food and drink before they would go away!  :J

Congratulations. :)

Does your DH know that he is being called Mr. B-Flat? :o

MommaMia

Hooray!!!  Many, many good wishes for a long and happy union!

Congrats!

B-flat

Thanks for all the good wishes and the new Mr. B-flat does know about his new title.  And, he certainly does know what B-flat means because he has been playing lots of music all his life and loves playing his banjo.  Lucky for him that he doesn't have to go through the formalities of the  name change stuff.  I have to deal with all that this week.

NightOwl, around in these parts, the groom would be captured when he went to the door to see what the commotion was all about, and he would be made to do some silly stuff before allowed back into his house.  That sort of "ceremony" was kin to or showed similarities to the "bell crowd" when folks moved into a new house. :D
