Well, it certainly is a rough looking unit, but with a top bid of less than $10 I think even Birol could afford this one!!

does it have canavas? funny no open pictures

I wonder what it looks like inside!!! ... and how much water damage might be in that corner of the roof?  Also I wonder if it's lifter's work??  Looks like it needs a handyperson to take care of it!  Didn't horsecampr or somebody else on the board buy an old starcraft like this one and fix it from the ground up and few years ago??

birol

Second one is nice but I think too expensive. There is a 90's or so Bonair here in Ontario I am drooling over, in excellent shape, and the owner is asking 2K (Canadian), for it. I don't think this one is worth that much, we will see of course there is a blind buyer for every bald seller !   (HAHAHA, that is what happens when you literally translate a Turkish idiom into English with no regards to the meaning :J )

Make an offer (say 1/2 and he may counter offer); you never know, he may accept, it's worth a try!

You can also do something sneaky, like take the kids with you when you make the offer and let them be excited about being able to camp and if he refuses the offer, maybe the kids can get depressed?;)

I spoke with him at length, almost arranged to go and look at it (It is around 5 hours away from us), but he told me that he won't budge from the price. I wanted to pay him 1K for it, and told him so, He said I won't sell it for less than 2K ... that was it .. it is well worth it, a dealer would sell the same unit for 4K or upwards !

Starcraft Dad

Angelsmom, my dad used to have one of those Apaches and it had a big tent (room) that zipped on the front. It was huge when the tent was on it. This was my first experience with pop ups and have loved them eversince. I have some great memories of that PU.  BTW it was vintage 1968.

The seond one is very similar to the one my mom had when I was a kid, but my mom's was a '70 or '72.  Even for nostalgic reasons, I wouldn't pay $2,200 for that camper.  But hey, it's ebay, where people get ridiculous prices for ridiculous things. :)

I had a '67 Starcraft Sunliner (slept four-no pull out beds-took all of five minutes to set up)--my father bought new and gave to me in '74.  I sold it in 1997.  What a great camper.  Sometimes I wish I still had it.

For about |<-->| that long.
