On our 2004 Centennial, the awning poles brace on the PU are out farther then the awning.

Does this sound right?

I think the poles should be located just under the zipper of the awning , but ours the poles kinda "V" out as you get towards the PU.

Is this making sense?  Does anyone understand?

Perfect sense Nancy. I take it your talking about a Campout awning with the mounts on the PU for that "big trailer awning" effect. If it's only a couple of inches wider than the length of the spacing of the poles at the bar I don't really see a problem. But wider could interfer with a Screen room or AAR installation.

I agree they should be in line with the bar ends and nor spaced farther apart.
Gives me something to remind the dealer about when I get my Centenial with the Campout.

The awning zipper (used for the AAR) runs on the inside of the poles.  We have to pull the velcro fastener out to meet the poles.

I don't think it is an awning like you're talking about.  Ours has poles that come straight down from the awning to the ground and straight across the awning to the PU where the awning bag is located.

We have a 11' A&E Systems Deluxe Awning
