Why wait.....until?

So, stop waiting ..
Until your car or home is paid off.
Until you get a new car or home.
Until your kids leave the house.
Until you go back to school.
Until you finish school.
Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married.
Until you get a divorce.
Until you have kids.
Until you retire.
Until summer..
Until spring.
Until winter.
Until fall.
Until you die.

There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, and, dance like no one's watching.

Go camping.  Why wait??? :D

AMEN!  VERY thoughtful and provoking words.

I think everyone on this board is not "waiting" to have fun.  We camp to get away from it all and enjoy THESE DAYS instead of saving up for years to have one "dream" vacation.  WE have the power to make EVERY vacation a dream vacation!

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Go ahead and wear that special dress, use the silver and china, don't worry about breaking some crystal piece (you can get another), go ahead and use that camper!  What ya saving up for???  Enjoy life and living. :-()  :cake:  :sombraro:  :#  :!

Hey, this thread must have really worked.  At least, for Birol that is.  Congrats! :!  :-()  :sombraro:

Life is short, eat cake first!

I LOVE that motto even though I rarely eat cake anymore.

Great thread Nancy.  Two very dear people gone from our little town this week--unexpectedly. Much too soon.   Made me count my many blessings SLOWLY, ONE AT A TIME.  It takes a long time to count your blessings when you pay attention to them ALL and REALLY count them!

We must all promise ourselves to go camping more often--every chance we get--taste of life's sweetness just as Birol is about to do with his wonderful new Magic Carpet!

My dad always said that when he retired from GM he was going to travel and visit people and see some things he never saw before.   He retired and within a short time was diagnosed with brain cancer, had surgery and radiation treatments.  His driver's license was revoked because of his meds, so we tried to take him to see friends and relatives, but it soon became too hard for him.   He walked on within 15 months of his diagnosis, and 5 months before he left us my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer, and lived a hellish time til she crossed over too.   They had waited all their lives for the opportunity to do something, and had saved money towards it.   We are trying to take advantage of the little they left us, to do some things that they didn't get to do.  I think that's what they would have wanted.

Enjoy life and living now while you still are able to enjoy it.  I have seen many work a whole lifetime.....nothing but work and hardly any vacation.  Taking a break and doing something enjoyable is good for the soul.  Don't wait till certain things are done or paid for or you can fit into size 10, go ahead and go camping or do something you enjoy.  Start rewarding yourself a lot more and see what happens. :)
