I couldn't resist posting this, just had to share, LOL.   Yesterday, I was in the local Dollar General store, buying our supply of TP, and came across a cute little mesh pocket hangy thingy for the bathroom that you can hang from your shower curtain rings (reinforced holes at the top) with pockets for shampoo, etc.  25"x 14", with 6 pockets.  It also has a rod that slides into a top hem so it can be hung from the shower head.  $2.  My first thought was that I could hang it in our screen room to keep things in so they wouldn't end up on the floor.   (never occured to me to use it in the bathroom)   I put one in my cart and then saw another one, slightly different style.  It's mesh, but smaller, and with a hanger type top, like the old shoe bags.  $1.  I didn't get that one.   This morning, while emailing with Birol, it dawned on me that the one I didn't get would be great for the bunk ends, to hold glasses, paperbacks, etc.   So, now I have to go back today and get a few of those, too.  I bet I won't be able to resist buying another of the other ones, too.  It's OCD at it's worst.   Did you ever notice that after you get a camper, you don't see the real uses for normal everyday items, you can  only relate them to camping?!

Well, I went back to the dollar store and guess what, there are 3 different sizes of these things.   The one I described to you before, and the slightly smaller one.  There is also a smaller one yet, with 4 pockets.   My DH could use the smallest, doesn't like "thingies and gadgets"  hanging near his head but is always saying he needs a better place for his glasses and flashlight.   The next bigger would be perfect for me, glasses, flashlight, paperback, lotion and bottle of water.    The largest will go in the screen tent for odds and ends.  Deck of cards, paper and pen, etc.   I actually now have 2 of all of them, LOL.

That's what's so dangerous about the Dollar stores!  I can walk in there and spend $20. without blinking an eye!  You really have to know your products prices though.  I've seen things there cheaper at Walmart, but on things like facial scrubs, soaps, etc - they are great!  I also love to buy gift bags there.  At Christmas they have the prettiest ones anywhere.  When I buy stuff for the pop-up the Dollar store is usually where I go!

That is so just like me ! I also end up with two of almost everything too !!! No wonder we all feel at home here at PUT :)

Same here. I went and found two different kinds at Dollar General.  I decided I needed 2 of the kind with the hanger top.  That kind can hang almost anywhere.  Now there is only one left in the store, unless they have another crate in the storage room. :D

Okay, I have been desperately searching in every General Dollar Store here in J.ville for these things.  Are you sure its not Family Dollar or somthing else, or it may be a territory thing :eyecrazy: in your area.

You may want to go and buy them all out and sell to us here on the board.  ;)

Hey, ask Dave to get in touch with who makes them, he may want to sell them to us if we can get the manufacture to produce them for us in the store. :)

Just an i-dear ;)

It's defininately Dollar General, but you may try any of the other 'Dollar' type stores in your area and find the same thing.  One of the things that I've noticed is that there seems to be some kind of a cooperative effort between some of the stores with thier products.  For instance, I was buying a sparking water product from this same Dollar General, but they only ever had two flavors.  Then one day I was shopping in a Family Dollar store, and there was the same brand of sparkling water two different flavors.  I asked at the checkout about other flavors and the cashier said they only ever get those two flavors in.  Anyway, I found these organizers by accident in the section where the mops and clothespins and hangers and stuff were.   Not by the bathroom supplies, where you would expect them to be.   Maybe that's why you couldn't find them.

how can I hang these from the bunk ends??? If I hang them from the bar I will bang my head when I sit up...

I did get a wire three size  basket and hang it from the clothes hook that folds down form the ceiling... works well for holding small stuff...

I was thinking that they could be hung from the u shaped bar at the back of the bunk end, or from the long shepherd hook bar toward the back of it so it would be out of the way.

I found these mesh thingies in the Dollar General store near the shower curtains and bath towels, so each store may be putting them in different spots.  The ones with the hanger top will make is easy to hang anywhere on the bunk end bar that supports the canvase.  You could also hang them most anywhere you can hook them onto something.  They are very lightweight, too.  Keep checking back to the store and they probably will have them in stock as they were just put out the day I got there and they had sold a whole box of them.....was one left after I got mine.  ;)
